I'm thinking on buying an ELCAN Specter DR 1.5x/6x (DFOV156-C2).

ELCAN's website says the following info: "DFOV156-C2 SpecterDR 1.5x/6x: (7.62x51mm) is calibrated with a BLENDED 147gr NATO and a 168gr -MATCH on a 20” Barrel".

If I shoot with heavier bullets, lets say 150gr or 180gr, in a rifle with a 18" barrel length, how much will this affect my POI at distances like 200, 300, 400m? Barely noticeable or huge difference?

Off the top of my head I would say not much, unless you're trying to shoot precision. 308 isn't so sensitive to barrel length at those closer ranges for sure, Reference. Know your velocity and assume 20 to 25 fps per inch, now compare that to your range in a trued ballistics app, it's negligible.

Thank you.
