** Your NEA102 build **

If you had the two out, side by side, with calipers or micrometer, see how they compare.

If matching, try a dry run of cycling. If that seems smooth, try with snap caps.

If agree not to just switch out, and try on live rounds.

Pretty sure it's a G1 DPMS if anything. It's gotta weigh over a pound and I don't think the G2 was even out yet when they introduced the NEA25 or whatever it was called.

If it's a G1, there's a ton of aftermarket available. Low mass and even titanium BCG's from V7 and JP.

I wonder could I throw in my dpms g2 bolt in there and try it out?

Would doubt it. But never thought about it. I can check later to see if it fits in a GI BCG or AR10. Pretty sure it won't even fit in the Bolt carrier.

I wont know for a while, SFRC said the IOP pricing will be around the December time frame. Will be nice to have all the parts here when I do eventually get it...lol...

Noob in regards to AR style rifles here. Could these be easily converted to look like a "classic" A2 style rifle? For example adding a carry handle, 22" barrel, handguard and front sight block basically making it an M16a2 in 308

I might have to copy you on the adjustable gas setup. Interested to see how that works out for you DILLI.

I could let ya know when i’m home again in two weeks from work, I installed that same block on my 102 but didn’t test it out as i’m waiting for the Slash heavy buffer i ordered for the UBR stock.

well i backordered a roller cam pin, and i ordered a dpms g1 308 bolt with also some gas rings and a radian raptor charging handle.

That was a mistake! DPMS G1 308 stuff is crap. Honestly I think I would take my chances with the NEA stock bolt and that's hard to say!! Other companies make good quality DPMS style bolts. That is what I would look into!!

Well sfrc says the new batch will start shipping to them in 2 weeks or so. I am hoping to see mine early November. Just a few more parts to order and lots of ammo to load

Just FYI, I put a Gen 3 PRS on my BCL and I had to use an A2 rifle length buffer tube. The buffer tube castle nut was binding up so I had to switch the tube out and change the stick extension to the rifle extension. Everything went smooth after that.

Haven't test fired it yet, but assuming switching the tube won't harm function.

Ugh terrible news. I was hoping it would drop right on. Otherwise I would have bought a gen2 prs on sale.... where did you get the A2 tube and did you have to change the spring/ buffer?
