Hahaha, $2000+? They can keep their rifles.
I'd also be very disappointed if anyone outside the pre-order bought one for the new price.
$1500-$1700 was semi reasonable but tacking on $1000 to subsidize US pricing is just ignorant. The conversation with their investors probably went something like "just jack up the price for those idiot Canadians, they're desperate enough to pay it".
Fak M+M and their price gouging, I'd rather shoot an SKS than support a company that does business like that.

This is the logical stance to take when predatory tactics are used in a market, however given a lot of the responses across many (sanitized) threads that I've read here....

I know, idiots will still buy them even though you could just buy a used XCR-L in x39 for less and have it backed by a solid retailer like Wolverine who wouldn't even deal with a company like M+M

A converted ACR is better than xcr or the 10x if they are $2000+

True, but a x39 conversion for the ACR adds another $1000+ to the price of one. I don't like x39 enough to pay that much when I already have a NR 300BLK conversion I built for my ACR which outperforms x39 in every category other than cost of ammo. I just want something cool to blast off my case of x39 around my acreage.

And the XCR has 10 round mags I think too.

What a load of crap that "Official Press release" is from M+M. They partially throw WA under the bus and in the next breath they kiss their ass .
I haven't read anything so smelling like a steaming POS in a long time.

M+M I'm out on principal alone, sorry you had our chance.
I'm sure my $1500 won't effect you at all but maybe mine x 20 others might.

But you already have the ACR, so it is actually cheaper than buying another rifle

Yup, now that the price of used XCR's are right around $2000 if they price these over $2000 it makes no sense to buy one, especially since caliber conversions for the XCR are available and reasonably priced.
For $1500ish the M10x seemed like a good deal but not for $2400 when there is a cheaper and better supported rifle available. By better supported I mean having Wolverine standing behind them, I've never seen such good support from a retailer. It doesn't seem to matter what the problem is they just fix it.

If the Xcr used AK mags, was accurate and had zero issues with operation, I would have kept it

You can buy proper x39 mags that are compatible with STANAG magwell.

How accurate does something shooting x39 surplus need to be? I really doubt the accuracy claims of the M10x are as good as they say, it's surplus not match ammo and I can guarantee that these are not equipped with a properly stress relieved match grade barrel so just like an XCR and most other rifles out there if you want to see tight groups you need to shoot one shot every 4-5 minutes to make sure the barrel doesn't warm up and start spitting pills randomly.

The new keymod versions seem to have most of the bugs worked out, and if you do have issues just talk to Wolverine and they'll make it right.

I've never been a huge fan of the XCR even though I've been very interested in them since they were first introduced, I stayed away because of the reliability and accuracy deficiencies but they have been making them better with each generation and they seem to be pretty good now. I still prefer my ACR but the one thing the XCR has that no other rifle available has is Wolverine standing behind them willing to fix any problems an owner has.

The best (and probably most unlikely) end to this would be M+M releasing final Canadian retail pricing BELOW the Wanstalls price. Such a possibility could possibly be, within all the BS and odd talk right now, from the supply side of things. Then followed by Wanstalls holding the pre-order folks to their "contract", like they are expected to do.

I imagine it would stir up a small frenzy. I'd laugh, very much.

It'll never happen, though.

my converted ACR shoots under 1 MOA with PRVI brass cased pointed soft points

Canam already stated what the retail would be here with M&M's new pricing...$2000+$2400.
Everyone involved makes more money if they move more rifles. Moving more rifles requires a lower price point. Hell TI couldn't sell 1000 T81's on pre-order in a 2 year span at $1000 a pop our market is so ####ty.
