Good prone match air rifle?

I've been debating getting a good air rifle for winter training for fullbore in summer. All I'm seeing from anschutz, feinwerkbau, walther, tesro, seem really made for standing though from the looks of them, maybe 3 position(can't find much on air rifle prone shooting online). Is there a model more suited to just prone shooting? and does anyone actually sell the Walther LG400's in Canada?

you are not the only one. I have done the same thing, for many reasons. In my case to supplement training for .22 as the range availability and just the time it takes to get to one does not always work in my favour. Of course as you can guess I have a Tesro air rifle setup that I use for prone shooting. Since I am shooting Tesro small bore rifle as well I can just put entire back stock on my air rifle so that pistol grip, cheek piece and buttplate is in the same setup. I was able to duplicate my setup so that I have the same position, balance point, weight head position and sights. It did require a bit of compromise as air rifle has an air tank under the barrel so I had to get little creative in order to have the two setups identical. However once it is setup, the cost, precision and access to training is hard to beat and it is a real pleasure to shoot. There is accessory rail on the stock so you can just slide in your hand stop, bipod or anything else that you might need. Harvey at Air Guns Plus sells the Walther LG400.
 
I'm going to bump this because I had the same question. Are there any older air rifles that would work? I'm looking for a cheaper option, the Tesro and walther look nice, but are more than I'm looking to spend on a basement trainer.

Most air rifles in the cost bracket you are looking at are designed to be shot standing, and their stocks are not made/profiled for prone shooting. In fact, I can't think of a single air rifle that is.

I'm thinking that I might just build my own stock for it, I plan to do a new TR stock for my 308win anyway so making a 2nd to adapt to an air rifle system should be doable, if I ever have time, time is kinda why I was hoping to just find the right thing ready to go.
 
One of the various biathlon air rifles would probably be your best bet.

If you don't mind getting out of position between shot, you could save some $ and go for a SSP... otherwise a PCP would work better.
And while at it, a repeater is also "nicer". Most single shot match air rifles are easy to load standing, but not so much while in the prone.

If that can help you justify the $... think of all the money you'll save shooting pellets ;)
