I found out their rubber coating can dissolve and come off the plastic underneath if it is in contact with any cleaning solution, fly dope etc.

I had a similar issue with a benelli shotgun. Right out of the box it peeled, stoeger Canada was able to replace it under warranty...

How many solutions did you test to make such a broad statement? My rifle has been cleaned plenty of times and the stock unaffected.

I actually bought the rifle with the rubber missing just behind the tang. I did not see it as it was generally obscured by the open-bolt and scope. I trusted the owner's description of 'super mint'.

When I saw that after I bought the rifle I inquire about it through Shane of Reliable as well as Stoegers and that was what I was told.

I also found out that Beretta USA is replacing some of these stocks.

My rifle, unfortunately is out of the warranty period.
