The only mod I would even consider doing to the 81 is putting on a rear peep sight. I wonder if the tech sight AK rear sights could be made to work?

I have no issue with modding AK's, but his choices were the very last ones I (or most other ppl) would select to defend clagging Gucci onto a Kalashnikov. YMMV.

And the magpul AK stocks were out for over a year when he made that vid. That folding AR stock is all kinds of 1998 and looks awful, is oversized, and not nearly as robust as a basic wooden AK setup.

My bad. Not my choice either... but a AR stock doesn't look too bad on a AK. It's very functional.
