Wow...nice move by mm and ns. I feel like were all just standing behind a glass with red light on....in Amsterdam.
 
So... Umm... Wanstall's pre-order... When the retailer is saying, "we're going to contact you with options," that sounds suspiciously like "we don't have the guns, and we're not going to be able to get them at such a great price.". Not throwing stones at Wanstall's here, but this has turned into a master class in how to botch a product launch.

US isn't buying them up... they are not overly durable or reliable under hard use. They can get decent AK's for $600 or less, they are not going to buy these for $1200 or whatever ######s MSRP is today.
If gun owners down south don't like something, it's game over.

Let's see if the addicted Canadian gun nutter masses will exercise their consumer pressure together for once, I personally expect not... seeing how the NEA saga went.

As for me, there is minimal appeal for this one, even if it is a discounted used deal.

Not a single person should buy this rifle. Stick together no matter how rich you are and how badly you want it. We need to show the entire industry that we will not stand for the NR tax any longer!
 
Anyone received their email laying out options yet? No one knows if the preorder is actually dead yet. I’m not sure how smart it would be of m+m to piss off the hundred or whatever people that actually put money down on these things. I honestly can’t see anyone off of the preorder list taking their refund from wanstals and handing it over to NS.

Does i have to destroy my tavor, my keltec, my bushmaster, my vz, my leupold ? ? I already paid this tax , and i will do it again, on all the stuff, I will buy. Welcome to CANADA !
 
Without the shenanigans I would have bought one or even two of these for the original 1400$, but with all the bull crap and the price gouge it's a hard no from me.
 
Fack M+M. Before the shenanigans I thought this might be the "affordable, everyman's rifle" that a lot of people have been waiting for. Now it seems to be priced out of it's league.

Well, I won't be supporting them. I just picked up a very slightly used xcr-l 7.62x39 in OD Green for $1900. My other xcr's aren't precision rigs but they haven't hiccuped once so I'll take my chances. Ya, I know, people can still say that the xcr's are overpriced too but at least I know that if my rifle ever does cause trouble I have parts and service support from one of the best dealers in our country.

I haven't believed in Mickey Mouse since I was a kid and I'm not about to start again.
