i have just bagged up almost 400lb of these tonight

Bean field beside the bush this year, and corn piles get dumped in the bush. I gathered up a few bags of acorns which had fell at my parents, and threw them out there. Usually apples make their way in.
My buddy is planning on planting a few plots back there next year too. Alfalfa and some other mix I think.

A wooden doe decoy with long eyelashes, red lipstick and an attractive fur covered knothole.

damn that's funny right there LOL
we used an inflateable cow moose decoy for one of our bulls this past week , didn't have an attractive fur covered knothole but it helped lure in a 40+ inch bull moose. We pissed ourselves laughing setting it up but boy did that thing work like a charm :D

Oats and peas. They also double as bear baits, whether I want them or not. Bison show up
once in a while too. Salt is always there, but they usually ignore it. Maybe there isn't s shortage in the area.

It will be interesting to see how the faba beans work for you. Soybeans certainly are palatable to most critters, field peas too. I am an animal nutritionist and while soy and peas are well accepted in livestock feeds I have read reports that some varieties of faba beans are not very palatable for livestock and for that reason are limited in their use in complete rations to less than 10% of the total diet. Deer may have a different opinion than pigs or cattle.

There's an entire genre of hunting rifle, that when first pushed into the limelight were known as "Beanfield Rifles". In the absence of evidence to the contrary, and perhaps giving the deer a short time to figure out what they are, I'm going to guess that deer eat beans. A beans a bean right?

We're even going to slip down to North Carolina in Dec to see if its true. I wonder if we can get a research grant?

Corn and apples with food plots for us. Did you try out those beans yet, curious to see if they would eat something like that?

dropped 200lb on the ground yesterday.
150lb of oats seperate to the beans.
camera is up so time will only tell .
i will post back in a week or two

Molasses is all you need they love it or you can drizzle it over a pile of corn. I also pour it over a blue salt lick an they love it. I don't use it while hunting but I use it about a month before bow season begins so I can see what's out there on my trail cams.
