Non-Restricted M-60!?!?!?!

Fired a FA one when I was in the service and man they howl!!!! FUN and I wish I had the $$$$$ really cool

Most people buying these are probably just remortgaging their house. That's what the guy did that bought the Sherman tank. Remortgaged his house at 65 years old.

Wow that is so very cool Mr. Wolverine...................just need a UH-1 Huey as an accessory for it.

Did anyone else notice that it has "the shoulder thing that goes up"? That alone is worth the price of admission... LOL!

Seriously though, if I had the money I would strongly consider one of these. Sadly, no dice. The FightLite MCR upper that I have on order will hopefully arrive soon. Notwithstanding our silly 5-round belt limit, that system will have to scratch my belt-feď itch for the foreseeable future!

This is super collectible cool, good job for making it available.
Unfortunately for me I've shifted my guns toward practical uses, i.e. things I will plink/compete/hunt with, and not collectible safe queens.

Even if I could afford to buy it, I'd be awfully nervous about risking that much money on something that (based on past performance) will probably be prohibited in the next bundle of OICs. I'm sure it was carefully designed to be impossible to convert to full-auto, but then so was the Thompson 1927A1. It was non-restricted when I bought it, but it looked like a full auto (actually, it didn't ; it had a 19" barrel to make it non-restricted) so obviously we peasants couldn't be allowed to own it. Even .22 rimfires that sort of look like machine guns tend to make the prohibited list.

Look at the way the poor folks with the Swiss and the 858s are being run up and down the street with it's non rest then its prohib then its not again then it maybe, then it might not, then it will, then we wait and see then again it might.........................

How can anybody have any peace of mind to enjoy their hobby if they are continuously terrorized about financial loss, limitation of use, jail etc

Hey John

Serious question as another cgner (the all seeing EYE) has to constantly state on all the other new firearms coming into the country that we are ALWAYS gouged on firearm prices but why is the price so high for this beast???

PS... hopefully my wife isn't pissed I try and buy this a few weeks before the baby comes!!!!

Same reason why the tnw m37 went from $4000 to $8000 in a couple years, very limited supply ( there's what like 50 of them in Canada?) and very high demand. it looks like this M60 there is only gonna be a handful come here so they can charge what they want for them and people who really really want one will pony up the cash.
When I bought my first mg34 from Seba arms it was $5200 which I thought was enough, my second one came from Marstar and it was $6200 plus the shipping. In a year the price went up a grand. Now they are another $1000 higher, ridiculous
You could probably get a transferable full auto M60 in the US for the 21K they are charging for the semi auto here. The M60, as cool as it is isn't even a great platform. Just ask any vet nam vet what they think of the M60 and the M16. They hated the damn things they lost lots of friends because of the weapons poor performance and the way they jammed up constantly

Hmmmm thanks for the tips John

That is just awesome Mr Wolverine never would of dreamed could get something like that here, can't even remember how many K's I have walked with one of those suckers, do you also get the spare barrel and asbestos glove with the package :)

One thing I don't get is the 5rnd link limitation and how this works. I know they will rivet mags and my sks has a big pin in the bottom of the mag to limit round count, but with link belts I just remember ripping apart and connecting like leggo, is it just the honor system of I will never join more than 5 rounds together type of thing?

Correct. To my knowledge you may make belts as long as you want for looks, but before you try and feed it into a post (46?) design, you better break them down to 5rd lengths or you are now a criminal.f:P:

No, the 6 th round is illegal once you feed the rest into the gun.It is too bad they don't make a connector for 5 rd belts:bangHead: maybe an orange link with a snap cap and then you could practice clearing a misfire ?I want one but alas I am not that brave to throw down 28 g without telling the wife plus she would take it in the divorce, but what a week and a half it would be.

This is an Awesome piece of kit!!
Who doesn't dream of that Rambo scene from first blood when you say M-60?
But with the 5 round belt limit, that is a buzzkill.
It would be like owning a Lamborghini with a 2000rpm rev limiter,,,,,,seriously!
The TNW MG34 / m1919 with the non restricted status and 50-100-unlimited belt status is wayyy more desireable.

Transferable class 3 m60's are going to start around 30k usd and go up depending on condition and model. The e1 configuration used in VN was the most problematic due to design flaws primarily in the gas system and top cover. Those were greatly improved by the time the e3, e4mod0, and finally e4mod1 upgrades came through in the 80's, 90's and 2000's. These guns are in the e4mod1 config and as result are modern and reliable examples of the m60.

Value is subjective, but these will continue to go up in price. There are only a handful in Canada, and many more who I'm sure would like to own one - if not now, down the road when funds are available/finance ministers have been bribed.
