the stocks on the B22 are ugly as hell and Boyd's doesn't have any replacement options yet. :(

I like the fact it has the flush 10 round rotary mag though.

mag aside, is the B22 action better than the Mark II? how are they different? my Googlefu didn't pull up any info on differences aside from the magazine.

went shoosting today and my buddy and i are thinking of inexpensive rimfire to start BB50. :)

This thread made me look up the B22
I read a review at this link and i am interested to learn more.

I own both the mark11 is a good shooter be it old school mag sticking out the bottom of stock makes using a sling useless ,, the b series way nicer stock higher comb for scope use .a finished barrel channel more straight grip , flush 10rd magazine ... bottom line way better gun ...

I think that the stock looks pretty nice actually. It does look a little smooth though in the grip areas and that should be fixed.

The flush mag feature is really nice. It would definitely make carrying this rifle with a sling much easier than with the protruding mag on the MKII series. Even with the "ugly" stock as you said, the flush mag might make it worth the purchase anyway.

How does it make using a sling useless?

Easy solution to the sling issue is to use 5 round mags. I got 5 round mags for mine as I store my guns in socks, the 10 round is no good for socks. Went out shooting one day and forgot to bring my mag, so I go a 5 rounder to put in as insurance. Now I never really use my 10 round.
As they say, if you haven't killed it with 5 shots, you should stop shooting.

I just bought the Savage B22G that's the one with the Woodstock. Its very nice to hold an it looks great too. Once I found the ammo it liked it put each round almost in the same hole very accurate and a smooth bolt. Head over to Rim Fire Central an you will see my post and a picture of the target. Its under Savage/Stevens an scroll down to Savage B22G There is also a great video on you tube about this model check it out.

I find the 5 rounders easier to load as well. The last couple of rounds in the 10-rounders don't always want to cooperate
