I got a Remington lvsf in 22-250, was wondering who made these stocks for Remington? The one on my rifle got some issues with the recoil pad , seems to be breaking down starting to stick to everything and leave black makes on stuff

They are Bell and Carlson stocks, the LVSF stock is the same as the Alaskan except having the beavertail forend. Nice stocks (earlier models had the gummy limbsaver pads)

I had the same issue and Remington did warranty work on it. Guess they had a bad batch of rubber in those recoil pads.

Gravel Agency in Quebec does the warranty work for Remington. I called them and they emailed me a claim form. Sent the stock in, they replaced the recoil pad and mailed it back.

My .22-250 LVSF has the same issue with the gummy Limbsaver recoil pad. I never got around to have it replaced. When I do I’ll probably have it done locally. Faster turn around and the cost of shipping will cover most of the replacement cost.

If I remember correctly, I think Gravel Agency emailed me a pre-paid mail stamp (or something of the likes) so there was no shipping charges.

But you are right about the turnover time....

Storing firearms on the butt pad versus muzzle down leads to early breakdown . . . almost like it is squeezing the oil out.
The LimbSaver is more prone to collapsing especially on heavier rifles.
