It boggles the mind why in this country the only two provinces that ban Sunday hunting are Nova Scotia & PEI.
I think it's time to look at this archaic rule once again.
I know there was a completely skewed online survey in 2015 IMO was and still is inaccurate.
Anyone else ??
Mini rant over, it's a beautiful day off (Sunday) and we want to go hunting:mad:

You are legal to hunt the first two Sunday's of the general deer season in Nova Scotia. I think 2015 was first year for it. I shot a buck first Sunday last season and will be out for an evening hunt tonight.

Y'all obviously still have far too much church influence out there.

We still have lots and lots of counties in Ontario that still ban it.

Year by year it is getting better with more counties opening it up.

Nova Scotia's whole system needs an overhaul. Can't shoot targets on private property because it is considered game habitat.
Briefly considered moving there to retire, but that is a no go.

Some townships in Southern Ontario also have no Sunday gun hunting. It can be frustrating especially in deer and Turkey spots.

The truly aggravating part is that they open the first two Sundays of rifle deer season and then close the rest, even though I haven't heard of any issues. I work shift work and often only get a few days all season and sitting home on a Sunday is aggravating.

Lol, we did. I guess I should have clarified a little better. Sunday hunting is only open the 1st two Sundays after the last Friday in October & that's it. I might have to google a pic of a partridge though lol

Ahhh, ok. Yeah, it's very lame.

Partridge are definitely thin on the ground, I'm getting maybe five flushes a day and that's with a dog... lots of deer though.

Your laws are stupid.

Sunday is just another day. Hunting should be allowed. The deer don't know the difference.

Being from BC, this sort of crap makes me shake my head...

I'm going to google pics of both lol. It's been crazy warm here. Might go out this morn. It's still dark here & 10 degrees going to 16 today....crazy

Move to Nova Scotia...all kinds of things will make you shake your head. Like people who can distinguish caliber by sound.

No kidding. Waiting for it to cool down some before I start trying to fill my general tag in earnest. Tough to hang a deer in this weather.

If they mean 5.56 C7 vs 7.62 AK, I believe them. But I'm guessing it's not that.

It's one big constant head shake out here. Never seen anything quite like it. But at least the people are nice.
