Range report BCL 102.

That sounds like a very nice finished product, my only suggestion would be to skip the Dragon. They are very loud and an AR-10 doesn't kick too bad. I've owned a few 308 semi's now and usually just end up buying a nice flash hider. If you're hunting with it one or two slightly harder kicks in the shoulder will be worth not having that muzzle blast from the Dragon.
Be sure to post some pics once you have it all together.

The Dragon is already on in the pics above, I didn't notice any more blast or loudness than the stock MB. It does keep the muzzle rise down and shoot slightly softer, but IMO it's not worth spending extra for. It was sitting in my parts pile and works a bit better, that's all. I've used it on my M305 Blackfeather and XCR-M.

ya, i'm debating this now. I'm thinking of upgrading the BCG first, check headspace with OEM barrel and see how it goes. Then next step would be to replace the barrel.

What barrel are you going with? The 18.5 from fulton armory? Saw for an extra 100-200 they'd add a bolt already head spaced. I'm debating getting the handguard and barrel might see how the stock is

Should be no reason to replace the BCG unless there is something wrong with the one your rifle comes with. If you do get a bad one you could always get it replaced under warranty for free if you're willing to wait for it. The BCG will not make it shoot any better or more accurately, as long as it's built to spec and finished correctly there is no advantage to replacing it and the $200-$300 would be better spent going towards a better barrel or buying more ammo.
BCL/NEA has consistency issues, what they build is pretty decent as long as you get one they didn't mess up and the QC dept let through.

Great advice, thank you. I think I will hold off on those changes and maybe i'll get lucky if they improved their stress relieve process on the barrel from the first production run. Unlikely but worth waiting and maybe save some money.

After seeing some of the pics on the BCG, they sure looked suspect...

Yes, got it on their 10% off sale... If anyone is looking at Criterion barrels, the sale at Fulton is extended through today. They don't ship to Canada so you have to use an importer though if you buy direct.

Got my SLR adjustable gas block 10% off as well, their sale and free shipping deal is on til Nov 3. And I threw in a SLR SR30 mini brake to reduce the OAL another 1.5" and another 2 oz weight reduction.
