Looking for some grip tape.

It's the same stuff, skate grip tape usually comes in fine or med grip. At least it did when I was still skating regularly, if you go into a skate shop they will sell it by the foot off of the roll, or if you ask nicely they might have some scrap pieces they will give you.
I found the brand makes a diff. Diamond stuff I use is not really skateboard tapes but it is tough. Had mine on for 9 months still going strong. I tried some diff brands I bought from skateboard shops in town on another Glock of mine they fell off (one of them has a logo like a bear... it sucks on my Glock) after a while or after cleaning with spray CLP. Just because it sticks the first time doesn't mean it will last. As for the Diamond ones, it still sticks fine even the surface is wore and need to be replaced.

... Another option, and I use it to add "gripping surface " to my Cameras, is 3M "Safety Walk" designed to prevent slipping on stairs. Available through Automotive Body Shop Suppliers. Not cheap, but it lasts and doesn't shed sand/grit as can Skate board tape. Available in different widths, and you can buy only the length you need. ..... David K

Just an idea here.
While I've been known to use skateboard tape, the material I've come to prefer is bicycle innertube.
I slip it over the handles of small pistols like the Ruger LCP. On larger handguns like the Beretta 92, I pull the grips off, slide the innertube around the grip frame between the screw holes, and then reinstall the grips. It doesn't add much width at all and provides more security.
If you use the skateboard tape, it's a good idea to secure it under the fronts of the grips as well. That keeps it in place.

I've used this as well and it's great, but it seems hard to find, at least down here. There are two varieties, too- one being a rubberized surface, the other basically sandpaper (which you don't want.) I've also used skateboard tape (ISC Racer's Tape, which I may have got from Amazon US.) The latter is translucent.
One suggestion for getting it to stick well- aside from making sure the surface is absolutely free of oils (brake cleaner or isopropyl alcohol) is to wrap the grip with surgical rubber tubing overnight. It will conform to the grip and provide really tight, even pressure.

My observation on the use of "grip tape" or "anti slip tape" on handguns: destroys the finish of the pistol. The aggressive grit material gradually falls off the tape backing and will require new applications. If you use a holster and have applied this tape to the slide or frame of the pistol, it gets embedded on the inner surfaces of the holster. After repetitive draws, it starts to abrade on the finish of your pistol. I've seen multiple Glocks with bad wear to the finish. If its just a tool to you and appearance is not a big issue or you don't use a holster, then go ahead and use it.

??? You must have used the sandpaper-type! The stuff I use is rubbery (and I've only applied it to the forestrap.) But chacun à son goût.
