Highly accurate and still supersonic at 1300 yards.
It's very early, but it seems like it falls into the same pile as the .277 WLV and 6.8 SPC, no? Admittedly though, it does however have my interest.
Cool caliber but I'll bet it's a barrel burner
With the steep shoulder and the fact that it's not really pushing things too hard I wouldn't predict this but time will tell.

The heavies at high speeds in a 22cal has been tried before. I have tried a couple of 22-250's and several 223's... others have competed with 22 BR's. They can work very nicely but bore life is "short" vs other similar case volume rds but with larger bores.
The idea of hot rodding the AR is very interesting.... not so much in a bolt rifle where there are just more useable options with standard bolt faces.
But hey, if it catches on, maybe there will be more 6.8SPC actions to choose from????

I totally agree, I love the idea of the 224 but I'd stick with 6.5 CM in a bolt gun. I guess the 224 will be cool for long range AR shooters because it can feed from a standard AR15 mag.
