M10X Canadian MSRP set

Our issue is foremost with those who will "pay anything", thereby encouraging gouging. Those are the price pimps. Got it? We really need to go line by line with other examples of gouging? Then the 'elite' can suggest we're 'bitter paupers'. Sounds fun.

No, you are wrong. Our problem is NOT the minority handful of firearms aficionados who can afford to pay any asking price and will. Your so-called "price pimps" (a stupid nick-name, BTW) are simply those few with more dollars than sense. They are not a malicious entity like the real problèm is.

Our real problem is some parasitic vendors and middleman distributors who have been getting a free ride in their retail mark-up game for far too long. The ones like M+M and North Silva who are willing to shaft the consumer in order to maximize their profits. THEY are the enemy, NOT our fellow firearms consumers. Puĺl your head out of your overly-smug arse for just a minute, consider someone else's viewpoint for just a second, and you might just see how silly you sound. "Price Pimps" my azz - might as well refer to you and your ilk as "Price Wimps". Sometimes, especially in the Canadian NR market, you have to pay to play. No point whinging about it if you can't afford the going rate on something shiny and new. Simply move on. Your wallet and your blood pressure will both thank you for it....

Stop trying to divide the firearms community. What purpose does that serve?

I was comparing a case of Budweiser beer ....12oz bottles to 341 ml bottles.
The case in the south is 13.99 us = 17.95cad
The case up here 22.00 cad
Oooooooo the gouging

This is precisely what I have been saying since the entire CGN-only "tempest in a teapot" began concerning the M10X. We hear all sorts of righteous indignation over getting taken for a $500 ride on a $1500 M10X, but silence despite getting ripped off a grand on the purchase of every Tavor TAR-21 or X95.

The difference is on this one everyone saw first hand how it all rolled out. Tavors didn't come in or were advertised/promised to be any cheaper than what they are. This is a perfectly legal but sketchy and dishonest business move, and nobody wants to be part of that as a buyer. It sucks, let's be honest with ourselves.

And you're looking at two different markets. The ones who have no issue paying 2600$ for a Tavor will have no real issue with this rifle. But the ones where 1500$ is a BIG purchase will be up in arms, as it's been taken from their grasp to well beyond it.

I want one, I'll probably eventually buy one, either used or when the market calls for change.

Plenty of restricteds.....don’t mind at all. I’ve got mags ready to import may as well bring the gun in with them.

Then you're set, I've personally got enough restricted firearms and since I pretty much only shoot at my house or on private property away from a range I've slowly been moving away from restricted. All I have left are a couple of my favorite AR's and four pistols.
I just have very little use for restricted firearms anymore, couple years ago when I lived 15min from my range it wouldn't have mattered much but now things have changed. Maybe I should look into getting my private range certified, probably not worth the trouble though.

Looking forward to the range reports, going around the price jackers would be nice, unfortunately the douchebags at M+M will still make money off your purchase (just not as much as they'd hoped).

I agree with Jon. The difference with the candy gun was that we got to witness the gouging unfold, and then had it substantiated by a respected dealer. There was no doubt, there was no ability to burry your head in the sand, you KNOW you've just been screwed.. Flat out, in your face, unapologetically screwed.

Yup. But in reality, what we all witnessed was simply "buisness as usual" within the Canadian firearms industry. That is what ought to be pissing people off, not specifically the antics of M+M and North Sylva vis-a-visit the M10X. What we saw were merely the symptoms of the larger greed disease that is foisted on the Canadian retail firearms consumer. Just look at the much-revered T81. Nobody is #####ing about a 400% mark-up by Tactical Imports on a $200 USD rifle....

Apparently we need a thread listing every gun we think is overpriced? Or we're all 'hypocrites'? It's not enough to focus on the case of those rubbing out noses in it? Do tell.

What is conveniently misdirected is that the gouging is actively encouraged by some as a means of trumpeting their perceived financial success and to reference 'jealousy'. I dunno-my last toy was $9500 >cash<. Gouged? Maybe.

I'd prefer ALL guns to be affordable because it increases the number of guns out there. That makes them harder to ban. That's the best scenario but in the end if folks like something, they are free to buy it or not. I've discovered that 'gun drama' isn't that worthwhile.

I would suggest that "too much" is all in perspective. In the Mx instance, there was a general consensus that the new price is just that, too much, which has made it a hot topic of discussion.

Yet you are the one who keeps creating this gun drama!?!?!?!?

Price pimps, gun gougers etc....!?!?!?!?

Everything you post now is drivel to me and makes me laugh at the #### you spew but carry on as usual I guess

M&M won't likely survive as a company for another 2 years at this rate anyway. If the US isn't buying them, our small market won't keep them afloat.

U.s Is not buying this ;&$: at all. When you can get a decent ak for $600.
Non of the dmr chit is produced so far. Mm is a total scam.
