Is this an X95 only thing? I've been using riveted mags in my Tar21 for the better part of 2 years now, and it's still pretty much fine (with a couple of lines here and there, but that's to be expected).

I was about to say, after many, many mag changes, there is hardly any wear on my 21's magwell. Looks more like someone pinned your mags with a machine screw than a rivet.
I buy mags that have been countersink in the spine, or that don't have rivets at all (aka LAR).
