Anybody else like 'old stuff'?

When I hold one of these fine old rifles in my hands, I like to think about the long dead craftsman who made it, ,where they lived and did they hunt with these rifles? How many rabbits ,squirrels and grouse did they take home for supper? I'm just borrowing it and will pass it on to my grandchildren, hopefuly with the same respect for future generations...yes,the new factory made rifles, untouched by human hands might be more accurate, but you still have to hold them straight and they will never have the same nostalgia attached to them..machines just don't do that

My favorite oldie is a pre-A Winchester model 52 from 1928 with a factory stainless steel barrel with an Unertl 10x scope mounted.

^Rimfire forum post of the day. Very interesting rifle, and I love the scope. Reminds me of the book "Marine Sniper", the Carlos Hathcock story. I'd never heard of these scopes until I read that. Cool factor is very high!

Thanks. This is one of the rarest models of the model 52 Winchesters. While it is not in collector grade condition, it is still a very nice rifle. I'm only aware of one other like it in Canada, and I believe that it IS in collector grade condition.

Non restricted levers, bolts, break opens and 2 semis (10/22, m100) in my house.
No handguns, ars, black rifles.
Don't have anything against anyone else owning the non-fudd guns. Just don't have any interest in them.

May not be collector grade but the " cool "factor of your rifle is right off the charts, looks mighty fine to me.
