I'm Looking to build or purchase a new percision long range rifle. I have a budget of $10000.00 excluding the optic. I currently use my PGW Coyote (.308) and PGW Timberwolf (.338LM) for shooting 1000+ yards. I'm thinking the new rifle should be chambered in 6.5 creedmoor. I have been looking at Barrett, Desert Tech and Cadex. Thoughts anyone...

Get a pgw coyote in 6.5 creedmoor or have your rifle rebarreled, i’m also very interested in getting a bugarra bunting/ target b-14 they look sweet say one at a prs match and it looked sweet.

Look at national custom building companies, you might be able to get a package of some kind before going retail. Imho

AI AX with a 6.5 Creed barrel. Total cost should come in right at $10K. There are a few options for barrels these days.

Have a gun that has accuracy just as good as any custom and can run in any conditions.

I have already reached out to Ross and Steve on a new rifle. Not interested in re barrelled. Would like to have muliple high end rifles. Like my scopes I think I want to try/own different Manufactures. Just keeping my options open.

I am a little bias but an Rifle on a monster Surgeon XL in a cadex chassis and 29 inch pipe in 300 norma that shoots sub .125 on 5 rds with a LRA carbon bi pod and bix n andy trigger and some kool colors
10 grand is a good budget but money spent is not realative to accuracy bought though..just keep that in perspective

Another rifle that just came to mind is the new Ritter and Stark SX-1 (or something like that).

There is also the Unique Alpine series of rifles which are really cool.

Finally, the DSR-1, not sure on prices on them these days, but if you want rarity and accuracy they would be pretty cool.

Beautiful however I'm not sure I want to shoot a .50 cal all day. I owned a LRT .50 I found it was a chore to shoot over 10 rounds at a time.

Good thing the one he linked ins't a 50 then.

**The CDX-40 Shadow is the Cadex Precision Rifle chambered in either 375 or 408 CT. These ultimate calibers were designed for extreme range shooting and anti-material up to 4000 yards with proper training and shooting conditions. Push your limits even further with the CDX-40 SHADOW.**

Haha, no, the link is for the Cadex Shadow in 375/408 Chey Tac.

The LRT-3 isn't that bad. Yes it's heavy, yes it's a pain in the ass to transport because of it's sheer size, and yes, it's a little harsh compared to 338 or 308, but I have a $hit eating grin every time I bring it out, despite shedding a tear with every $10 squeeze of the trigger.

Beat me to it, haha!

Some nice looking hardware. I may have to revise and up my budget to purchase more than one rifle! May need to sell my 1850 Tyee...

You can build a 700 based rifle that will shoot as well as any for a third of your budget.

As you can buy a car that will drive as well as the prestige car for 1/3 of the budget.
While i don’t have the funds for a prestigious precision rifle, i did purchase a very high end 2011 at some point.
So i can understand the want for it as long as it really is spare money.
Beautiful high end guns are fun, i don’t think OP is looking for budget builds really

Good timing. I am just about to list my pride and joy - a Blaser Tac2 in .338 LM. Here are the details:
Rifle: Blaser Tac2 in .338 Lapua Magnum
Optics: Nightforce ATACR 5-25x56 Zero-stop .25 MOAR
Near MFG 34MM ALPHAMOUNT Scope Rings
Anti-cant device, Bi-pod
Sako TRG muzzle-break

And a photo link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cy4j2mnp6kd1b1w/Tac2 at range V3.jpg?dl=0

I have only put 100 rounds through the barrel. I hate to sell it, but need the $$$.

Let me know if you are interested.

I would bet a full custom will actually out shoot most of the high end factory guns (AI, Sako, PGW). You won't see a lot of these on the line at a F-Class/BR match but these "military grade" (I cringe at the use of that) are certainly accurate enough for a lot of things.

Also, there are a few things that a high-end factory will do a lot better at - resale value is one of them.
