Lol as a woodworker I can't help but laugh at the silly notches on the buttstock and lower handgaurd to match the profile of the reciever. I'm still gonna love her when she gets here. Lol

a quick rundown,
pros-
lightweight & handy just like AK.
the longer barrel does not add that much extra weight at the front, so it's not front heavy.
the wood is actually nice, lightyears ahead of the beaver bark on the VZ I used to own.
machining of the critical parts are not bad at all, the barrel is very nice.
inserting mag is a breeze, the bolt is smooth when racked by hand, safety is easy to operate not stiff, however, it's a 180-degree throw.

cons-
some cosmetic flaws, scratches on the metal finish, wood to metal fit is very NORINCO, ugly but solid :)
none of above bothers me as this was meant to be a rough use military rifle, but if you are "new gun no scratch" type of guy now you are aware.

P.S, NO Cosmoline, just oil, very happy :)

The gun feels kick ass, a stamped metal commie battle stick! perfect.

I see lots of room in that box that could've fit that extra wood set!

After seeing the photos I'm estatic that I purchased a fixed to go along with my folder. Thanks for sharing the photos...stoked!

hahaha this is what im thinking too..... everybodys like "ooo the wood looks good" .... and Im sitting here like, "it looks like some child laborer carved it out using a can saw lol" glad I ordered a folder. But I guess many will argue the barbaric nature of the wood adds to the whole Chincom Norinco nostalgia of the gun.
