** Your NEA102 build **

Guys changing the barrels out to different calibers, how are they running? Did this entail any other modifications?

Dreaming of one in .338 federal.

Anyone put an A2 stock on there?
Got a feeling it would look good.
I am in for next presale, altough i always thought it would be olive, going for black

Like this ...... Not A2 Length, but a CS marked Stock....

Yeah man!
At this point i am wondering, if i use a free float tube with A2 plastic handguard (like armalite national match used to do), and triangular front sight gas block.
I would consider myself more of a classic guy than a modern guy, i would like to see complete A2 setup with an Acog.

Darn it the more I see these rifles the more I want one. The quality control and other complaints have thrown me off tho!

I wouldn't get too worried about that. There have in reality only been a few issues. It sucks but you know it is going to happen. Let's also keep this in perspective to the competitor. There have been some issues with a few of the first 75 BCL 102 rifles. Not good. But.. all of the first 75 Modern Hunters required the cam pin to be shaved due to accuracy issues. Keep in mind that wasn't a recall, so it was on the owners dime to get the rifle back to the manufacturer. Then there was the earth magnet addition to keep the charging handle from flopping around, of course also that gen3 Pmags can't be used at least not without modding the mags. What I'm trying to say is that the competition starting at more than twice the price has had more issues than the BCL 102.

There should be another 300 in the wild pretty soon. We should get a better idea of any issues etc after that.

From an owner - I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Mine has been smooth and solid running, right out of the gates. Putting my pennies together, then I'll get another for the wife.
Make your own decisions.

Well I think that I'll buy one yet if they don't end up being reclassified by the rcmp or some bogus. I would like to know though if these bcl's are made with 7075 uppers and lowers or 6061 alloy. Nobody can answer me that yet!

I am almost positive that info is in one of the threads. Which one, I can't remember, but you are not the first to have brought it up. Wish I could help you more, there.

I suspect they are 7075 T6, only because they are listed as forged. 6061 is usually extruded or billet.

Don't forget the buffer screw/retaining system not working and people having issues with that. The modern hunter had lots of issues at more than double the price and on your dime to ship it back and forth unless you live in Calgary. At least with nea if I have an issue I can drop in a new barrel and bolt myself and problem likely solved.
