Canadian made "black" rifle

I'm not interested in slaying the M10X. I'm excited for a new project that we may have some real input on. I understand what this will most likely evolve into, but it can also be one step of many.

Very interesting post from CanAm looking for beta testers. Wonder if there is a relation to this thread topic?

I just volunteered to be a tester, I have a 180B, hundreds of rounds of ammo, a place to shoot on my property any day I want, and have over 50 different STANAG magazines to stick in it, sure hope I get picked as one of the testers.

I personally like the idea of "Quasi-black" hunting rifle that resembles either a Valmet Hunter or a VEPR Pioneer. AK actions are out, but there are some mish-mash designs that we could chose from.

We would need to crowd fund a company to get off the ground and start production with like minded people. We just need to show we are willing to put a few thousands of dollars aside sort of like a down payment. Sort of like the website kickstarter.com.

I'd love to know if CanAm has any update on their thoughts... all their comments revolve around the 180b. Is/was this just a kneejerk "well if we can't have the M10x, we'll make our own", or is this something you guys are seriously considering? I'd be totally willing to back this and wait to spend my hard-earned cash on it, but I want to know that it's something that has a high likelihood of being a reality.

Start at the xcr ditch the multi calbire non sense and attach the barrel like a normal person. No mono upper and just go with ar handgaurds. Bam everything I’d want in a black rifle

Wow. I just killed a six pack reading this thread.....Maybe it's the liquid gold talking, but I can't believe no one has suggested something that'd shoot .303.....Bahahahaha That'd Canuck it up!

Any NR black gun in .223 with cheap mags that I can bounce around behind the seat of the truck (without feeling guilty), and use to smoke gophers and coyotes out to 80 yards with open sites, off a mirror with impunity, makes me a player at under 1K. LOL

I would contribute to this. I'm literally at the point of putting an add out for an AR180b I can build off of at this point. Been waiting on my restricted card for a while now, and I mostly collect milsurps so the 180b as a piece of rifle developmental history fits my collection better then a go-fast AR or what have you.
