M+M CEO Considered Pulling M10X Rifle From Canada After Brouhaha - CDN Gun Blog

Interesting. I just watched a you tube video of Mike Meir in 2016 speaking about the various new styles of rifles they were releasing to the American market:
Pistol version , SBR , 14 " carbine , 16 " carbine and get this..... an 18.5" version as well.
NO MENTION WHATSOEVER OF THE 18.5" BEING DESIGNED OR RELEGATED FOR THE CDN MARKET.
When asked on.pricing he stated " retail for carbine length and longer was set at $1500 USD
Retail for SBR was $1100 USD.

My how things change lol

So then more corroborating evidence that M+M would never have told Wanstalls $1450 CAD was kosher... since they even said the US 18.5" model would be $1500 US.

seriously ? how many guns are sold at or above msrp. And how much did mike pay you ?
Do you really think WS did dream up the $1450 price ?

I have not been paid in any way shape or form. Yes, I do think Wanstalls got the $1450 from sources other than M+M.

M+M told Can Am a year ago the price would by $2k+... and the YouTube video mentioned said the 18.5" model would be $1500 US....

The $1500 USD retail was for the "deluxe " model . The next model up from the cheaper Magpul furnished model .
It was actually referred to as the Gen 3 . The deluxe model ( Gen 3) @ $1500 came with all the latest bells and whistles .

The M10x "Elite" which are the same models as the Cdn models ( in my belief ) he referred to as now being called the "vintage" model

Plus it was MSRP not many stores especially in the US sell @ MSRP.

The "deluxe" version is the DMR version we will see here. MSRP is all that M+M can control. Whether rifles sell for MSRP in the US vs here is not up to them.

Wrong ! This interview with Mike Meirs was from 2016 !
They hadn't concocted the "DMR" scam yet......
The phrase DMR was not mentioned once in the interview.
If that was the case he would have been spitting out DMR this and DMR that throughout the whole interview.

Right... so their thinking that the 18.5" model that you referred to as "deluxe" ended up being the DMR... its the same thing.

M+M believed their "Deluxe", "DMR," "super special", 18.5" model would sell for $1500 US in 2016 is all that matters. Another point against what Wanstall claims.

Firstly I don't drink , haven't in over 15yrs so you can keep those presumptions to yourself.
2nd see the word " suggested "in the word MSRP. The manufacturer controls nothing with that pricing strategy.

It is merely a price the manufacturer " suggests " an item to be sold at , not what dealers actually pay or stores must adhear to !

Just look at any sticker on a brand new car for example . They all state MSRP and sell MUCH lower than that price.
That is a tactic used to lull a buyer into thinking they are getting a deal by paying below the actual MSRP.
Business 101.....

Do you really think WS did dream up the $1450 price ?

That is where the facts lead.

Why did WS back out when they were still being allotted the rifles to sell at the low price they guaranteed their customers more than once? Why has there been no retraction of statements by WS on their extensive work with the RCMP to get the rifle it's NR status when we know that is false?

WS silence on the matter only points in one direction

So the Manufacturer cannot control the "Manfufacturer Suggested Retail Price"? Lol put down the beer for the night.

If what you say is true, then a shrewd business move would be to sell us the version that retails everywhere in the USA for $1100, not a tatted up version for $2000 with dmr safety and gas block. Nobody thinks those things are worth $600 - 900 - probably not even you.

Except that m&m has now boosted US MSRP to $1649, the us conversion of $2000 Canadian. Although the us dealers are all still selling at $1100, so we know that hike is BS and simply meant to quiet discord in Canada.

But please, continue on. The world is was less stressful through the rose tint in your spectacles, I gather. The only guy on cgn to walk into a truck dealer and not ask for the standard $10k factory discount, employee pricing scam, or what have you.

Only in Canada is there pride in paying extra. The data :) includes copious antedotes about 'jealousy', 'poverty' and other themes. It keeps egos soaring. :) The solution, as someone pointed out, is for our elite to pay $3000 each to sub-subsidize the Canadian market. It's win-win.

Just a heads up for those hell bent on ordering a M10x, SFRC is having a 15% off Black Friday Sale, the M10x is $1699.15 if you use the coupon code "Friday" . Save $299.85 and also get free shipping when they come in.

EDIT, I retract my above statement as SFRC will not honor it, they are sticking to MSRP, sorry guys.

And yet stores are still selling them for the 1999$ and i haven't even pre ordered yet again.
Hmmmmm
Maybe your whining is all for nothing then and it appears it is for nothing CUZ they are still selling.
Except the copious antidotes are always started from you with your "price pimps" and other stupid BS to make you feel excepted by the few on cgn. :jerkit:
Don't like it, don't buy it. I guess you won't be buying any thing new from now on as everything is inflated then in your "all seeing eye"

Everyone has their own perspective on things, but I can 100% guarantee you M&M and NS have sold at least one less rifle post-shenanigans, because I went from definitely buying to 100% committed to definitely NOT buying one.
