Refinished with flat black enamel brushed on.
I made the rear sight cutout wider as well and only removed material from one side, hopefully next time I shoot it I can move the front sight back closer to the middle.

I've been wondering if a mini/micro red dot could somehow be integrated within that sight and maintain a quasi workable range adjustment.

I got a few sks and 858 and never had to buy a sight tool

oh I've had to punch every front sight on every SKS to get it to move initially, but the tool is crucial in making fine adjustments...

I've proven many times that if foregoing a press then the punch is superfluous, just start beating on it and skip a step.

Not worth the security risk. We'd rather take extra week's flak on here than wake up to find the container missing one morning

No need to respond to these people. I actually cannot believe adults with firearms licenses amhave less patience then children at christmas. 90% of these folk are going to open the box, take a selfie and put the gun in their safe for a year or two until they sell it.

I've done better with both my shooter SKS...but the point is to zero to the center of the 5 moa group...that takes fine adjustments...lol
