BRRC membership is NOT $615!
Anybody have any recent feedback/opinions on Target Sports Canada? I am contemplating joining this club as it's the closest one to where I live, but there doesn't seem to be any recent feedback on it.
Going through the forums it seems they used to have some ventilation issues, which I believe is fixed now. Their membership cost is much higher than other clubs I've seen around this forum, so my ultimate question is whether or not it's worth the money? Part of that premium is the fact that it's very close to me, but at the same time I don't want to spend $600+ for a year of bad experiences.
Any good shooting range within 30-45 mins drive from Toronto?
Ideally something with up to 100m-200m range.
The other draw back is that their ranges are only 25m. And their hours are Mon-Sat 10am-9pm, Sunday 10am-6pm.
My colleague goes to Range Burlington (I know it is a little bit further), but membership is $615 with annual renewal of $221 (HST included). They have 50m ranges. Hours of operation is 24/7.
Yes the ventilation system was upgraded and both ranges were renovated. The membership is up there in price but you say it's closest to home for you so doesn't that factor into the big picture after all time is money. It's busy on the weekends but members are allowed on the range for 2 hours before it's open to non members on the weekends. I've never had to use that option and I just renewed my membership for another year. For me it's worth it, range time instead of driving time, 25 yards is good enough for me for pistols. Whenever I feel like rifle shooting I make a day of it and head east to the lower Trent.
Thanks for the suggestion, BDSL! I'll check it out. Burlington is a manageable distance for me.

Pretty competitive if you compare them to other ranges in GTA vicinity.
Not when you factor in a 3 year waiting list to take the mandatory safety course![]()
You can also take your chances and just show up on the last Thurs of the month and hope there is a no show and become a walk on into the safety course. When I emailed them in 2014 I received a response of up to one year waiting list. I showed up 3 months after that initial email and became an instant member as a walk on.
Where in Ontario?Hey all, new to the site and (the sport/hobby). Sorry to revive an old thread here but it's pretty close to impossible to find a club in Ontario at the moment that isn't full for memberships. Are there any of these clubs that will let me just go to shoot some clays for a few hours without the need for a membership?
How much does a membership cost at Silverdale?
I recently finished my CSFC & CRFSC and awaiting my license.
Anything near Newmarket/Cookstown area (other than Toronto International Trap and Skeet)?
