Grand power k100

Dave Copping at Rouge River, who is the grand power rep for canada, installed a fibre optic front and dynamic rear sight on my k100. Huge difference. Purchased a ghost hybrid for my k100 on ebay.

Dlask would be Mk 12's. I bought my first X-Calibur from them and a few more others when they had their blow-out sale :)

Are you sure about the MK 12 thing? I seem to remember my K100 (from the Dlask blowout sale) was the MK 7. At least I have it recorded that way in my gun journal.
It was the type where you pulled the front of the trigger guard down and out of the frame for takedown.

The Dlask one I got has the little Glock style pin you hold down while trying to pull the slide back, up, and over the frame.

Cool, I think these were $350 when Dlask blew them out...
I should probably try shooting it one of these days. Feels like a decent pistol, although the takedown is a bit silly.

Take down is a little funky but once you get used to it, it's no big deal. You should definitely shoot it. My k100 mk12 is really accurate and the trigger is sublime. An RO at my club shot it a few weeks back and said he liked the trigger more than the Shadow he used to have. His opinion. CZ guys don't freak out.

The pulling down of the trigger guard for take-down is definitely a Mk 7 model. Strange, I didn't think Joe brought in any of them. Does the serial number start with DA? Apparently the factory started up a specific serial number series just for them.

The trigger is very good, both d/a and s/a, it's a fairly simple design, I like that it's fully ambi, pretty substantial frame rail compared to a Glock/M&P etc. Has DA###x S/N.
One of those guns I got for the deal, and just kind of sat on. Have a NIB FEG Hi-Power clone I paid $300 sitting beside it unfired too lol.

Perhaps I am mis-remembering about buying it from Dlask. The serial started with a K. My records show I bought it July 2 2014 for $399 shipped. I remember thinking it was quite a deal at the time.

That price definitely sounds like it was during the Dlask blowout sale lol. Could be some very early stock he brought over when he first started up as the Cdn Distributor for Grand Power. I bought my first Grand Power from them, an X-Calibur. Since then, my collection of GP toys has grown a bit .....

I bought one of the dlask k100 the had on sale too. It was mark 12 for sure. Take down was a ##### and I after one range trip I just wasn't impressed with it in any way. (Liked my gen4 g17 much more) I sold it after that. Zero regrets.

Edit: just remembered the gun in my avatar is ironically that k100

What is the parts and mags situation like for these?
If I end up liking it, I'll want to grab at least 4 more mags, I also like to keep spare springs on hand. Any upgrades for the plastic guide rod?
