Stiller 700 SA dbm only non-inletting for AI-AICS ?

Did a bunch of searching on here and came to this conclusion unless I missed something...

Is the Stiller 700 SA for AICS mags the only DBM to not require inletting ?

They say it requires a little work for the mag to clear but that's ok cuz it's in an area that won't show my sloppy work :p;)

This is going into an LTR .308. I like and use the Badger DBM but for this LTR wanted to keep it simpler.

Any other options fitting this criteria ?

What's the take on the Stiller ?
 
Stiller still requires inletting. Stiller is great DMB and has a mag well that covers up a lot of the inletting work.

PTG makes a DBM that is closer to drop in, but it only takes one generation of AICS magazine. Pretty sure all DBM that will take AICS will require some fitting.

Guess Stiller are lying a bit on their website ? Figured it was too good to be true. Thanks stevesummit
 
You still need to open up the inside of the stock for the box part of the bottom metal. This is true for any DBM. The cut-out on the underneath of the stock doesn't need altering.

Ok, so this is what I thought was the case. The Stiller DBM drops right in but INSIDE the stock needs a little messing around. So the Stiller website is accurate ..

That's fine. Didn't want to chisel away the OUTSIDE of the stock.

Any other brands for 700 stocks as easy as the Stiller ?
 
The Stiller is pretty easy to install. As others have said, you just need to open up the inside of the stock a bit for the magwell. The flange on the outside of the DBM covers up any work that you do. I had one and found that it worked great. It is key, however, to use the pillars provided with the DBM (or at least a washer) to make sure that the mag sits at the proper height with regards to the bolt.
