The whole "Safe to carry position" part is... Interesting?... Nah, its just odd to me. You like half-open the action and then lock it, or something like that? Honestly I feel like I'm missing something...
You just push forward the thumb switch and it’s ready to fire, no action movements required. Pushing the thumb switch forward cocks the rifle, so it’s completely safe to carry with a chambered round and action closed. I handled one for two minutes but this was my understanding, nothing about it was counter intuitive.
The main feature that would interest members of this forum is it also takes down for travel I believe, you separate the two halves and have a briefcase sized rifle case. Haven’t done this or seen it demonstrated so not sure of the mechanism, but sure it’s typically krieghoff and simple.
