Just noticed this on the Troy website... Looks very interesting ! Can you bring them in ???

Appears to be based off the (already non-restricted) PAR, but with a reciever-mounted charging handle instead of the pump. I like it.

Obviously, the RCMP will have to view it & give it an FRT before "we" (average Joe) get our hands on any.

Comes in two models, 14.7" and 16". Both have side folding stock, reminiscent of the Sig MCX.

I think this is gonna be a hot tickect, more so than the PAR... I want one, if the price is similar to (preferably cheaper than) the PAR

(I want the 14.7" rifle, but with the longer handguard from the 16")

Thank you, American Rifleman for naming the TROY SAR to your “First Look at 2018’s New Guns” hot product listing!

The TROY Side Action Rifle (SAR) was developed for precision-based shooting in a rugged, reliable, light-weight (under 5.5 lbs), 50-State Legal package ideal for hunting and target shooting.
The billet machined stock can be folded to the left, collapsing to 24.5”, making it ideal for back-pack or cross body wear.
The side charge handle with Target Knob can be positioned left or right for fast follow-up shots for all left and right-handed shooters.

Nice, that would be a VERY hot ticket IMO... If it was NR and came in somewhere around the grand mark, I would get one for sure.

Completely awkward unless you are bench rest shooting. For every other shooting situation the forward mounted pump mechanism that is on the PAR is what works best. I'll stick with my PAR. Thanks but no thanks.

For me this is what I would use it for and I think in that case it is preferable to the pump... you could still hunt with it or bush shoot with it if you wanted no?

Yes. I still could use it for hunting. While follow up shots would not be as fast as the regular pump version it would still be no different than having to manipulate the bolt on a regular bolt gun. And I can still do that pretty fast.

For general blasting rounds off I'd still prefer the regular pump mechanism.

I agree it would be rather awkward unless shooting from a bench but the PAR can be awkward from a bench, especially if you're resting the forend on a bag.

I'm interested. A great option for those of us that save our brass for reloading. Real question is now, will SAR/PAR marked 30 round magazines be available? That said, they can keep the stock, just allow to accept AR options
