TYPE 81 folding stock more pictures (DAY 6 Update "a bent rifle")

Did you still not get yours yet?
Seriously, maybe some Gunnutz locally could go help them ship stuff out...for a fee, or a rifle or something.
Crazy they would sell a dealer rifles before filling all the pre-orders.

And yet that is exactly what they did. Bingo.

I just looked at my fixed stock, maybe I'm paranoid but it looks less than perfectly straight to me too.

If you have to squint and ask someone else to look at it to tell if it's bent or not, and if it shoots point of aim, they it's probably fine. These are a sheet metal receiver rifle. They aren't going to be perfect, what matters is reliability and that they shoot where the sights are pointing, within reason.

The OP's rifle is WAY off and should be returned, but if you aren't sure, then it isn't obvious and is probably OK. Just saying.

No, that about sums up the experience SOME customers are having, though the vast majority of the T81's ppl have received appear NOT to be lemons. So far we know of TWO rifles with issues:

1 with a bolt that was worked on with a grinder and 1 with an apparently warper receiver from manufacture - the OP never even fired it.

Zero issues would be better, but it's also early to condemn the whole rifle model based on 2 problem rifles. Heck, how many guys had VZ58 issues? I know I returned 2 of those personally with major flaws.

You’re expecting CGN to think about sample rates? LOL.
CGN is Seinfeld to some and Rebel Media to others, that’s why it’s so entertaining.

My folder came flawless. Hope to be able to test it all out tomorrow.

Can you post pics?

Not right now.

It shot fine, I took out the bolt and ran a cleaning rod down and out the back. It looks straight from that way. The left side of the receiver had a slight curve to it, and the stock isn't perfectly straight up and down. BUT looking closer I can't decide if it's slightly bent or if it's just how it's built.

Either way it shot fine, I'm not going to really worry about it. Maybe it's an issue, maybe it's not, I guess we'll know when the masses check.

Markzdb,

Is it possible that someone along the line stepped on it?
The first thing I would check for is a footprint on the box.
