Powder Prices

Just got 2lbs of CFE Pistol for $29/lb from xreload and $10 shipping.
Best buy is the rebranded IMR from CanAm...$125/5lbs, free shipping over $200.
They have 700x/800x/4198/4064 but it does sell out fast when they get stock.

The prices I see for powder, lead, and primers are all seem to go up at every ns gunshow. It's getting expensive.
Most of my metallic stuff comes from Brian Densmore, although Hnatiuk's occasionally has a 25% off sale.
Our club places an order with either Hummason or Lawry's every year for clay targets and reloading supplies, which eliminates some of the hazmat charges for shipping. Lead has been climbing steadily over the past few years.

I just bought an 8lb jug of Bullseye for $180 from X-Reload at their Black Friday sale. Works out to $22.50/lb. They are listing Titegroup now at $26.40/lb or $24.57/lb if you buy the 8lb jug :)

I can get rifle powders (varget, 4064,..) for $43 a pound. I have 0 complaints since I got the same powders from the same place for $39 4 years ago. Compared to other retailers price increases, I am more than happy to keep buying. Seems like there is quite a swing in pricing retailer to retailer. Usually henry is priced competitively, but as mentioned before, some of his stuff seems out to lunch.

$34.95 per pound for Tightgroup around here and that is regular price...plenty of times goes on sale sometimes under $30.00 lb...Cabelas puts on sale once to twice a year if you life close enough for pick up. Honestly even $35.00 lb is high....looking to buy only at sale prices these days.

Higginson Powders has always had the cheapest prices from what I can tell, and they're localish to me. No idea why they're not on CGN. I recently ordered a bunch of 32ACP component's from Henry's, his prices also seem to be great.

Henry, why are your rifle powders priced right out? I'd love to order from you but $54 for H4831sc....$51 for H4350. Did you get burned by a distributor or what.

I'll look into it & see what I can do.

Regards, Henry

Unfortunatly both of those powders are imported from Australia so there is an additional duty charge on them. That pushes the price up. They are also costlier than most powders because of the shipping cost of them.
