Edmonton area pistol shooting

Curious to hear what my options are for getting into competitive shooting in the Edmonton area?
Regardless of if I get into IPSC or not, I’ll take my Black Badge at Phoenix. I’ve heard it’s a fun experience and a good intro to competition. Besides a pistol and lots of ammo I don’t have any gear yet. Don’t have any rifles or shotguns either, so multigun isn’t really an option at the moment.

Thanks, I do have a membership at Phoenix for the year. Haven’t been out to Sherwood park at all. The last time I heard it mentioned there was a long wait list?

The best option you have in the winter, is to show up at the league night at Phoenix (after you BB). Talk to the guys there and they will give you the schedule for league nights.

Is there a weekly night that the league shoots during the winter? With 3-gun over until spring I was looking for somewhere too shoot over the winter and work on pistol skills.

Biweekly. Next one is this coming Sat, Dec 02. Come out around 1730, meet the guys out there (Dmitri above and I should both be there) and help build stages for the night! We typically get around 15 shooters and shoot 6 stages.
