Im not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me but it looks like the buttstock for sure is a little bent. What do you guys think?

Could that be some cast off built into the stock?

It's bent one way or another clearly lol
Strip the bolt out of receiver and lay the rifle flat on a table and lay the receiver flat on the table on the side where the charging handle would be (now removed) You should be able to see very readily then if it is or is not bent and where.
Seems like the butt stock is the bent part though on this rifle. Not sure how the rear stock attaches to the receiver on the T81 but if it's like the AK47 then the rear trunion area could be milled offset sending the stock off on an angle?

So aside from the issue of OPs irrelevant observation about the geometry (has no impact on the rifle or sighting since sights and bore are aligned), do we have some pics of the internals like the op rod and bolt?

Isn't this rifle one of the designs the price pimps got all hard about, tossing cash for then vaporware? They hyped this up to a fevered pitch and now they focus on their next hyped pet design. Always running their mouths and washing their hands.

I'll give that a try in a bit here and repost if I discover any anomalies. Thanks

See if you can line the receiver side along the edge of the table and leave the sight drum off the table edge if that makes sense.
Then she should laying completely flat along the length of the table.

If the rear stock attaches similar to a kalashnikov, it could be as simple as the wood stock female end being cut off angle. Or it could be something as bad as the rear of the receiver trunion machined off angle.

Yes that makes sense, I'll try that. Thanks. Not sure about the AK but the T81's rear trunion is riveted to the receiver and the butt is pinned to that.

The wood stock itself may not be cut centered, if the barrel is square I wouldn't worry too much about the quality.

Unless the all seeing "eye" wants cry to you to the point of self mutilation and make you "think" it's terrible!!!!

Well. It looks like my plan of nabbing one off the EE is a no-go. It's too risky with the apparent number of faulty rifles in this batch. The good ones are keepers... but I'm sure the owners will be reluctant to sell. But if they do:

"T81 for sale, shot a 1000 rounds of Chinese surplus and got bored of it. It's not facked like some of them. $1500 + expedited shipping (I'll make you pay for it because I have a VentureOne card. I'm trying to squeeze as much money from you)

How many where brought over in this batch? What would be the known ratio of faulty rifles. Because I'm starting to doubt this "piggy back Military order" crap.

There's at least two people now saying their barrels are pinned off center to the receivers.
That is a problem no matter how much anyone wants to sugar coat it.
Wood can be cut and sanded, the back of a receiver can be squared with a bastard file but a barrel off center from the receiver is a serious problem.
His looks like the rear stock is just off center hopefully.
This is coming from someone that wants this rifle to be a success but I will say it again, the T97, 102 and maybe now T81 (fack I hope not) are prime examples of why I don't jump on any "new gun in Canada" bandwagon until the hysteria has settled and calm rational observations about the product can be made.
Hopefully it's also just 5 or 10 really bad ones after all the others are delivered from this shipment.

Supposedly 1000 rifles.

Well mines pretty good but I have YET to see where HIS are from the barrel and not the stock
