TYPE 81 folding stock more pictures (DAY 6 Update "a bent rifle")

Oh I definitely agree the butt stock is a bit off. Im going to do some further testing cause obviously what Im doing is somewhat crude to say the least. For example, when I hold the straight edge tight to each side of the front trunion it lines up damn near bang on with the front of the barrel, when i span the straight edge from the rear of the receiver then over the front trunion is when everything looks whacked.

Either way see what TI says and go from there!!!

I still don’t have my folder yet. I agree guys that I am very disappointed. 3 days ago I called TI inquiring about the status of my order. I called 4 times that day and never got an answer. They are so secretive. I have no confidence in them as a company. I really just hope that my rifle is okay. We do need to get a answer from them about the sub par rifles as well.

This is like those Garands from Marstar I read about. Just one issue after another and another. This sucks and I’ve only been waiting months I can’t imagin some of you involved from the get go.

That's very clear with the steel straight edge lined up on both sides of the receiver.
Barrel seems to angle off to the right side pretty drastically.
Jesus!

When I sight down the rifle, it looks like the receiver is offset to the trunion and the barrel is straight. Im gonna make a jig tomorrow for it to sit in so i can figure exactly what is going on. From what I can tell the trunion and barrel are aligned just fine.

It looks out to me, but its hard to tell from pictures. maybe your resting the flat edge on the handguard on one side and its thicker? maybe try to rig up a string line from the end of the barrel to the back of the receiver and see what side it favors?

The straight edge is resting on top of the lower handguard not against it. Im gonna make up a wood jig tomorrow with center marks to line everything up and see whats actually out.

These rifles issues are quickly adding up and approaching t97 level.

Glad I held back, see what generation 2 brings or another vendor
