Hey all,

Looking for advice on what to get next... please don't suggest something that I haven't listed here...
I've already got a P226, and a 1911, but I'm looking to add to the collection!

The contenders: Beretta Px4 9mm, Beretta 92 9mm, or a Sig P220 45ACP...

Anybody have any thoughts or recommendations?

To me, the P220 is too similar to your P226. Time to broaden your collection....maybe add something like an H&K SP9, a Glock or a CZ75?

Asking people not to recommend a gun not on your list on this site is an exercise in futility,,, reading comprehension has hit an all time low, 4 out of 6 responses already off track :)

D'oh...I read that as the OP was asking for us not to recommend something he already had! That's what I get for browsing CGN while on a conference call.

Of the three he's listed I'd say the 92.

Ah, I knew people would recommend others, just my way of trying to keep people on track :)
I suppose I'd consider a G17, not really interested in the SFP9 since I would always wish it was a USP..
My 1911 is 45,
I'd also like a s&W 686, but that's something I'll get myself down the road!

Sticking to your list, I'd pick the 220 (and get an earlier German gun for 700 and change on EE), but considering you have a similar 226, You might want to try something different. You'll find fans of both the 92 and the PX4 so pic you flavour. Neither of those do much for me so I'd go in a different direction entirely and echo Master-Gs recommendations or a 357 revolver.

I hate slide mounted safeties and decockers so I vote for the P220. BTW, I have the 92 and the 220.
The 220 in .45 is one accurate gun! I barely shoot my 92 now and use it for new shooters only.
The 220 is an awesome gun, I've shot yours, but the wife and I got the chance to play with one last week ( ran in to Will and Connie at the range) with .45 loads developed for the gun and it was unbelievably accurate and easy to shoot!
If and when we get into reloading a 220 in .45 is on the radar for sure!

Yeah, much more fun when the gun doesn’t jam on every second round!!! Good thing that garbage ammo is gone! Thanks for helping me dump it!

Since you're already into .45, I too would recommend a used P220. Spend the remainder on reloading gear if you don't already have some.
