It's made of Chinesium alloy, so your guess is as good as mine.
As for manufacturing, I'm guessing forged, but it could be cast. Haven't looked closely at one in a while.
So you mean to say that, it is not 7075 or 6061 Aluminum. But some sort of different alloy.right? It's made of Chinesium alloy, so your guess is as good as mine.

It does not matter at all. Just want to know the metallurgy of that rifle. The answer is nobody knows. Why does it matter?

So, It is the same aluminum alloy used in Norinco CQA? IIRC, CQA has forged receivers.right? The Chinese IIRC don't use or abide by American/European metal standards; so it could be similar to 7075, 2024, or 6061 or even some of the stronger marine grade aluminum alloys. But it likely won't be an exact match for any of those.
I don't think anybody wants to sacrifice their type 97 for destructive testing to see what alloy content it's made of. Given how long the Chinese AR15 clones have been around, I wouldn't worry too much about it's strength as it's going to be the same as the Chinese Mil spec Type 95. And despite what some may think; the Chinese don't usually cheap out on actual military hardware these days.

I think, CQAs are forged aluminum.Aren't CQA's MIM 6### aluminum?
I think, CQAs are forged aluminum.
If we compare CQA's lower according to that link then it seems forged. Not sure where Wikipedia got the info but...
"While the American AR-15/M16 rifles are built in T70-74 aluminum, the Chinese Type CQ is built in T60-60 aluminum, used to allow the process of Metal Injection Molding to be used instead of forging."

Yeah but that link doesn't include MIM
