a lot of their wares are pretty inexpensive...and they intimate that everything is American made.

how do their lever arms stack up against the mainstay's like Winchester and Marlin (when they had QC)?

their cheep single shots piqued my interest as well. makes me curious if they absorbed any of the H&R equipment when they shut down, since they look 'identicial'.

Good guns and well made. The one thing I don't like is loading the mag tube like a 22. Don't know about durability, my Uberti has quite a few thousand rounds thru it with zero issues. But the Uberti's are double the price

Got a golden boy in .22lr. Beautiful wood and nicely finished. Receiver is "brasslite" but plenty strong for .22. Action is really well made and smooth as my Win 94. A great plinking gun and lots of fun. Great gun for the $.

Looking to get an original Henry at some point.

As mentioned, Henry has great customer service but don't have any experience with that.

Love my base model henry 22, smooth like butter, very accurate, handy and lightweight. Very easy to take apart and clean too, like easier than a marlin. Literally thousands of rounds from mine and it runs like a clock

I had a .22 mag Henry with the alloy frame. It was rode hard and put away wet by the previous owner. I noticed the barrel getting loose and realized the receiver cracked! I sent an email to Henry and they advised me to return the rifle to Canada warranty centre (Gretch outdoors) for a new one! New one arrived only a week after they received the old.

Best customer service by far!

Nice guns that have come quite a ways in quality over the last 20 years or so. I remember looking at some of their .22's a while back and noticing poor finishes and plastic sights. Now, they resemble fine firearms. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

My issue with Henry is they push the 100% me in the usa. But I have been seen there parts being machined and made at shops not in the usa.
They have been advised to change there slogan from made in usa to " Proudly American "
Let's see what 2018 shot show brings.....

I have the standard H001 and Goldenboy in 22lr and the bigboy brass in 357 mag. The first was the standard, and 5000 rounds later not a single hickup. About 3500 through the golden .22, and around 3000 through the magnum. No problems to date, only good fun.

I have the .22mag and .44 carbine brass. The .44 is new and the epitome of perfection. The .22 was used and cosmetically abused but after powder coating the receiver it is back up there in the "favourite" shooter category. Well made and finished.

My henry 22 lever functions awesome and seems like a good design even the trigger is good after a bit of fiddling. The bore however is the worst by far of my rifles its rough and pitted all the way came that way from the factory or wherever it was in between the factory and me

What parts? Made in what countries?

Every Henry I have owned has been well made and functioned smoothly and flawlessly. I have had more than a dozen Henry rifles, and Henry customer service is second to none.

They aren't up to the newest Winchester levers, but then again they are half the price. In my opinion, they stomp comparable Marlins in wood quality, fit, finish and function.

I HOPE they are good, as I just picked my nearly 7 year old daughter up her first .22...a Henry mini bolt. It happened to be the last one at the Wholesale Sports in South Edmonton and it was on for $260.

Seems to be intelligently engineered, and the fiber optic sights on it really are easy to see. Cannot to wait to take her out and begin to teach her shooting.
