Has Anyone Ever Played With a 357 Herret Rifle?

I was rooting around in my gun room the other day and realized that I have in excess of 500 brass and loaded rounds for a 357 Herret I used to shoot IHMSA silhouette with. I got to thinking what can I do with this brass? Pretty much nothing except what it is, so then I thought maybe I should have a '94 in this cartridge. I grabbed one of my 38-55s and found that it feeds just about perfect, a little judicious filing here and there and it would feed 100%. With dies and more than 500 brass I think this would be an interesting and useful project.
The cases are all mixed headstamp, which made little difference to a handgun and about the same to a levergun intended for 200 mtrs and less.
So now I'm on the prowl for a cheap post 64 model 94 to convert, preferably not an angle eject, something from the '70s would work OK.

Unless someone wants to buy 5-600 357 Herret cases all fireformed and trimmed......

Had a Contender as well n 30 Herret as well back in the late 80's.
Might very well be a great deer cartridge.

I've been doing some pondering on this project and I think a conversion from an old 303 Savage in an old 99 might be a fitting platform for this fun gun. Could use pointy bullets and everything, and I like the lines of the old straight stocked 99s. Besides they go pretty cheap most times on the EE and I have a 22 HP take down as a mate for it. Easier to rebarrel as well, or maybe get RS to rebore it for me..............finding those damn 500 rounds is gonna cost me, I can tell...........

So basically if the 32 special has been showing the 30/30 how it's done since 1901 why isn't the "35 special" not spectacular?
There's just no love for 35s here? Seems there's many good ones but they're not popular
