CZ Scorpion Evo Thread - Pictures, Videos, Reviews, Range Reports, Accessories, etc.

FWIW, I've found that my SBR Scorpion gets the best groupings using 124gr. ammo. Next is 115, then 147

I finally got my Scorpion to the range. Found that @ 100 yards, 115gr seem to hit point of aim. 124gr are dropping around 4-5", and 147gr dropped below the target all together. I only adjusted windage and didn't both moving it up. I found my groupings with 124gr were good from 25 to 100. Using handloaded Campro 124gr hollowpoints over 4.0gr of Titegroup and 1.08"COL seemed to feed and work great. The brass piles up nicely a foot or two away. Nice light load that feeds well and groups well for me. The factory 115 and 147's I was trying kicked the brass out 10 feet away or so.

Anyone making finer front posts for these? The front post is huge for targets at 100yd.

Good info. I don't think Ill reload for 9mm though, as I got a case through Tenda for around $230 lol

Don't think I've ever seen any replacement posts for the irons, though you could always get aftermarket ones with a finer post.

Manticore mags rolled in this evening! Picked up 5 courtesy of AA.

Very nice! I've got an order in with AA as well, but I don't think that I'll see it till February. Still waiting on my transfer from Tenda for my Scorpion too...I hate waiting lol

I got my 10 32rd smoked (riveted not pinned) mags from A Z T E C H today. They through in a nice manticore arms patch as well :)

I got mine as well: snagged the deal at Western Metal. Unfortunately the pistol "stock" is banged up to hell. Sent them pictures of it during my unboxing. Looks like someone hammered it off with a screwdriver to install the actual buttstock. I have not gotten a chance to fire it yet but right away I noticed the RH safety has to go. Incredibly annoying on the side of my hand. Will either go with the delete option as I can easily manipulate the LH side with my thumb or the shorty AK version that puts the toggle further ahead and parallel to the barrel instead of perpendicular to it and digging into your hand.

That sucks. I knocked the aluminum piece off with a rubber mallet, but man it sure was stiff. Took quite a couple strong whacks to get it moving.

Very nice looking. I ordered a couple. Still waiting. The factory cz 20rds cracked at the feed lips within first 150rds. I was bench rested and taking my time trying to see how well I could group at 50yd and 100yd. I was pretty bummed out to see the cracks while cleaning the gun and mags. Just one range trip and they were coming apart.
I'd get it if I had been running a course on the action range and throwing the mags around - I've chewed a few Cz75 mag floor plates up this way.

I presume yours is one of the earlier generations?
We had mine out last weekend and the guys were grippin and rippin the factory 20's and they definitely took some excessive abuse but no damage other than the usual floor plate scuffs. I'll have to keep an eye on mine.

Brand new Gen 2. Mag manufacturer date for both 20rd is Feb 2017. Only one has cracked after that range trip.

It was tricky to get the light right but the crack is coming across the left feed lip at a 45. It's almost right through the plastic and will just be a matter of time till that side snaps off.

Looking good!

My package from HB Industries arrived today and I got my letter that the transfer was completed yesterday! Hopefully it gets shipped before the weekend

Crazy! From what I've read I thought this was only an earlier gen issue. I'll have to keep an eye on my 20's.
Although with the manticore' I doubt I'll be using them much.
Thanks for the info.

The Yeti grip is great but not as grippy as I'm used to (with Magpul stuff). Also it is rectangular in circumference so some may not like it.

The stock can be ordered from AA along with the ACE folding mechanism. Just have to have patience with AA - Next shipment is in February! They might be able to help with the SPL and Zhukov stock too. Ask them.
