Need Help 870 issues ****Solved!****

Hey guys,

I need a little help I am new to firearms and I purchased a used 870 full camo shot gun.... I thought there would be no issues but when I fire shells sometimes they do not enject I fact they deformed on the back. The smaller the shot the larger the deformation that plugs it into the barrel.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated I have photos no clue how to post them if someone could be kind enough I could email or text them..... thanks guys .... super bummed out about this

What kind of deformation are we talking about? Is the rim gouged? Is the side blown out? How old is the ammo you're using? I'm not great at posting pics either, but there's a good sticky about it somewhere on here.

The rim is bulging very clearly bulging I needed to use a stick to get it out very frustrating an disappointing

Does it look like the chamber has the shell fully supported? There really shouldn't be anywhere for the brass to bulge into under pressure.

Go to you tube and look up polishing the chamber for an 870.

How old the is the used shot gun? Are you using steel in a barrel that is ONLY designated for lead??

What type/ brand are you having problems with
The promo packs that come with four boxes or 100 rounds by any chance

Hey guys, apparently is look like the brass is “flowing back around the bolt” people are at a loss to why I am going to take it in Monday would love to post pics

Why can't you post a pic so we can see exactly what it taking place . There are many types of winchester hulls and some are pure garbage, same as challenger

It really is not that hard to do. You can use a free picture hosting site ( such as https://postimages.org/ ) Once the picture is stored there simply copy the address and post it using the tools (insert image) CGN provides.

That would not do it nor has remington ever made a 2 3/4 only camo gun

When you say “flowing back around the bolt” .... do you mean extractor marks? Meaning the casing expands and fills the gap around and behind the extractor?

Ok got! Thanks for the info on how to post I have shown in pics the issues I’m having it’s going yona gun smith in the AM what your seeing is exactly what it looked I hope you can see the bludge

Can you post pics of the chamber without a shell in it? And the bolt face?
