You might be surprised. They treated my son well a year ago.
Maybe before a smith touched it but one never knows

Nothing there to do any harm
Just a question for giggles. I have seen marks like yours before from a remington that was being fed the new hypersonicshotshells
Yours being a 3 1/2 model any chance it seen the same for a while
They are hard on most guns

Good to hear The flying out is only one part of the problem for me. I hope the bolts stops pounding the hull also and I think it will with that lip fixedWell sir I got the gun back today and you were right all along.... the barrel of my gun was thicker than the barrel on a 870 in the shop, so they honed the barrel and and polished where the lip of the shell fits..... have not fired it yet but I put every shell in it that jammed and they all flew out real nice so fingers crossed and I really forced them into the barrel
Well guys thanks for all the help and the insight can’t thank you boys enough. Al Simmons was great and right as we’re all of you. The barrel was the issue and honing it and “sharpening” where the lip of the shell sits (sorry if that’s the wrong term) worked!
It ate every thing I put in it, pretty sure if I stuffed a ham sandwich in it she would have ate and spit that out too!
Great to have a running gun! Thanks guys !
