Your favorite mini 14 stock

I also felt that the Hogue stock was lighter than wood or the factory hard synthetic. Is it possible the anal-obsessive guy who put that table together might have made a mistake? :) I don't know if he had all those stocks on hand to weigh (wow...) or if he scoured the internet for all those statistics and then compiled them (just...wow...), but it would be easy for a typo or incorrect measurement to creep in there.

In any case, the difference in weight is not a large one, whether higher or lower. The increased comfort level of the Hogue stock is immeasurable but IMHO it makes it well worth swapping out for a Hogue.

Who knows? I’ll make a point of weighing my factory synthetic next time I have it apart.

I like both the wood and synthetic factory mini stocks.
They are light, strong, ergo friendly and free...as they came with the gun.
They could both benefit from some checkering but otherwise are exc IMO.

Folder makes sense IF I need the rifle to be packed away...backpack/plane/atv/snowmobile etc.
Folders are horrible shooters but no other way to get that kind of compactness.

The BC is a good design, well priced....

No pics...between this website and PB pics have become way too painful

I think the factory synthetic is pretty decent, if not a bit short for me

The BC folder is very handy. Fits under my back seat nicely.

I have two stainless minis so I get the best of both worlds without swapping anything.

Iran this for a while

to heavy, no accuracy increase. 2nd cool was pretty good being a SAGE stock, but LCF isn't enough to keep it lol.

was close to $800

my current mini (and last ruger that i own) is in a buttler creek folder. its probably the only ruger gun i haven't had an issue with... yet.

apparently butler creek discontinued that side folder, they are getting hard to get.

Not much love for the ATI folding stock or Archangel Precision stock?

Tried the Ruger stock stock in the store and it felt good to me .... the thin butt fits in the shoulder pocket nicely.
