My first new hunting rifle

I've got plenty of grandpa's old school hunting rifles (no complaints - all great guns) but I wanted to buy one of my own that I could be proud of and keep forever. How'd I do?

Tried to buy one on the EE but the deal fell through so I said screw it and bought new.

Sako 85 Finnlight in a .308 with a Swarovski Z3 4-12x50

Nice setup! Lifetime rifle indeed. I would have taken the 3-9x36mm Z3 as I prefer slim scopes, that is all personal choice though. Enjoy!!

Looks great! Good choice. If you're not a handloader, you may want to buy several types of factory ammo to see what shoots best in the rifle because even high price guns won't shoot well if it doesn't like the ammo. Period! Good luck with it!
