Canadian made "black" rifle

The SKS chassis market is abit over crowned already, Kodiak defense has the Skorpion and the SKS-KD, North Sylva was working on a SKS-47 chassis as well.
SKS-kd is just an SKS modified to accept AK mags, the sks-47 was scrapped in favor of the sks-15, and was uglier than sin anyway. the sks-15
Is also uglier than sin, and along with every other chassis on the market does not address ergonomic and balance issues faced by these half assed attempts at modernizing the SKS platform.

A ground up lower receiver with the trigger and fire control group moved forward will greatly improve balance, ergonomics and actually facilitate one handed mag changes...and will also eliminate the bulky and aesthetically unpleasant appearance present with the sks-15, archangel, and Tapco solutions.

I know of a very nice new one that should debut next year. Not ours
I'm listening...if it's truly the be all end all of SKS modernization then I could understand why you wouldn't invest the time and money to make something similar/better...and so I eagerly await to see what it is, but also what you guys come up with as a complete ground-up rifle :d

To go with the ammo request, since you already have a AR180b lower how about a AR180b upper in 300 blk?

If I ever get my hands on a 180B upper that can take AR/ACR barrels I already have a non restricted barrel made from a McGowan blank that shoots sub moa in my ACR, it would find a new home :p

They aren't worth much I find

Isn't the whole point of a contract so that the parties involved have a legal obligation to meet the expectations of said contract or face a legal action from the party who's expectations in the contract were not met?

Legal action is not free (money, time, effort), often it boils down to cost-benefit of the pursuit and pocket-depth, even if you are in the "right".

The user BlastShadow posted some videos of an sks with the trigger group and mag catch as an integrated unit that is positioned more forward on the rifle. It looked the most promising out of all the "modernization" attempts. Haven't seen any recent developments though, maybe that is the product being debuted in '18?

Don't know if it was suggested before but how about making the magwell integral to the upper? That way it can be 5.56 or with a different upper be 308 you can make an upper to take ak mags if you wish. Ca am can also make one in 50 bmg and modify the da50 to work on it then you could have a mag fed 50.

Blast Shadow's SKS is pure genius.

I really liked this project.
But if you followed the comments in the video it looks like it’s 2 years old and hasn’t had much activity since.

It’s a shame. I think they had the best design yet for the sks.

I am the YouTube user called "Blast Shadow." Thanks for all the love, guys. I haven't given up on my builds, rather, i took my efforts in a slightly different direction, and then that project went off on its own tangent, and i finally got back to trying to squeeze as many features into an SKS trigger group as possible. Finally worked out a solution for a bolt catch release lever! Here is the latest iteration.

and no, i cannot agree, on CGN, to "shut up and take your money, or they'll pull my video for trying to be a business. Just had to add that disclaimer.

That thing is COOL! Would you mind posting a more in depth video of the modified parts?
