I have a question for those that are more in tune with electronics than I am.
I have a Foxpro Fusion caller that takes 8 AA batteries which I use rechargeable batteries. What I am looking for is a charger unit that will plug into the front of the caller and charge the batteries. When you look at the reviews on Amazon for the Foxpro charger they are not very good - reports of batteries overheating or exploding because the charger wont shut off when the batteries are fully charged.
| want to avoid removing the batteries out of the caller every time I use it to recharge them. Last year, when the unit was only two months old, the wires going to the connector that attached to the battery box broke. They were too short and didnt offer enough room to maneuver the battery box in and out. When I sent it back for their famous customer service, they wanted to charge me for the repair. When I argued that it was still under warranty they relented and the unit was repaired at no charge other than shipping. I shouldnt have had to argue with them and the wires in the repaired unit were considerably longer than what I sent to them.
I dont have access to any type of electronics store locally so whatever I end up will have to be ordered in. I am looking to see if anyone out there has used a charger (other than Foxpro's) that will not cause the rechargeable batteries to overheat or explode in the caller.
Thanks
