Should, but they don’t. Ironically DPMS steel mags don’t work. No idea about KAC but that would be especially ironic since they originally used the 1950s AR10 mags.

I believe that was with the first gen 1 and they changed it in the second. Also frankly I have a DPMS mag that doesn't even work in the DPMS rifle it came with. I would never buy a DPMS mag.

I would be fairly surprised if it doesn't work with the KAC mags since it works with gen 3 pmags which were redesigned to work in the KAC/LMT 308 rifles. I have two KAC mags so I will check them when I get my rifle.
 
Do we know that they changed it in the 2nd Gen that is still the 1st Gen? LOL.

I’m not saying that DPMS mags are great but it appears that the bulk of the BCL102 is based off of the DPMS 308 pattern with the exception of the barrel nut threads. Of course it’s really all a guessing game as BCL apparently refuses to release any specs on the rifle.

Look forward to hearing whether KAC mags work or not.

I also wish BCL would clear up the specs on these.

I do recall a post where the DPMS mags being able to be used now was brought up and it was posted that this issue has been addressed. So I’m guessing a slight change to the inside shape of the magwell. Sorry I don’t recall which thread etc it was in. But it was something that caught my interest.

Just took a look to try and find where I located this info. I think it was from this photo released by SFRC. A number of the new Gen2 versions are shown with the DPMS mag. I count 5 of them with DPMS mags.

Interesting. They didn’t say it was DPMS though unless I missed it.

KAC, Pro-Mag, C-Products, ASC and DPMS all make or sell a similar looking magazine.

We can rule out KAC as they are actually grey and about $150 each. But I didn't realize C-Products and ASC looked like the DPMS mags. So yup, absolutely could be one of those instead. I was sure though that Ryan had said something about that being changed so DPMS now works. But I can't find it.

Oh ye of little faith.
I’ll have my fingers crossed that I’ll get a KAC mag when mine shows up tomorrow or Friday in time for opening it under the Christmas tree.
