Leupold target turrets???

They've heard of them all right, just never don't handle them. I got a couple sets and really don't care for them.
They told me they never heard of it.. lol
But I could send my scope in , for CDS turrets.
That was from a phone call and an email reply.
Anyway, I got it done from Leupold.com
The new target/tactical turrets ,are do it yourself turrets.
Just remove the old ones and the new ones,slip right on.

I installed similar add-on knobs from another maker on a couple of scopes. Adapters replace the caps, and hold a stem that engages the coin slot; calibrated knob is locked to the stem.

There wasn’t much info on the replacement target turrets, I just kinda stumbled on it, in an American forum.
But how they work is,
You remove the set screw, then remove your existing turret.
Then you put on your new turret,it self aligns in the slot.
Screw in the set screw and that’s it.
The elevation knob ,has a zero stop as well.
I ordered both the elevation and windage knobs.
They have S1(MOA) and S5 (mil).
Cost was $100 USD

hope I am not hijacking your thread. I have a pair of target turrets that I want to change out to MOA turrets. Brianma65: do you have the same ones ? Can I put tactical Leupold turrets on ?
I’m not sure, it depends on your scope,I think.
They have different turrets for different models.
So ,if your scope is not to old or whatever,you should be able to use either.
But it’s best to call.

Thank you. These tall turrets are on my old leupold and they got in the way of shell ejecting. I can remove them by removing three tiny little set screws. I am hoping to find something shorter and exposed.

Those Stoney Point units require no removal of parts from the scope, other than the caps. The base collar replaces the cap, the knob is held to the stem by set screws. There is no zero stop. The clicks are whatever the scope came with. If it is an old friction adjustment Leupold, no clicks at all. They allow finger adjustment, and are convenient, but aren't particularly sophisticated.
There are four index marks on the base collar. Use whichever one is oriented best. Set the knob to "zero" on that one.
Note that there is no vernier scale as in your photo.
