What legitimate use is a gun light on a pistol in Canada?

Our existing laws require headlights on a vehicle. I am not aware of any laws requiring a light on a firearm. Lights on guns for 'civilians' is just for looks and shooting zombies.

You can use a pistol for self defense in Canada, it just can't be your reason for applying for a restricted license.
