My Brownells bcg fits and functions with my faxon barrel.

Well I tested my BCG with a buddy that just came over...

The bolt goes into the BCG on its own weight....

If I pull out the bolt and set it on the table , the BCG will drop. Not good.

Yes - good to go - I used a rifle length buffer tube with the JP buffer.

However - a carbine length tube should work by just omitting the spacer in the JP kit.

I haven’t even shot my gun yet. I don’t know if I should use the rebuild kit I got, or just try it out first

Shot it first go from there. If it causes issues just get yourself a new BCG and adjustable gas block to fine tune the rifle

Well im excited, Just ordered my 102. Threw up im my mouth after I tallied the cost of my build without the tools...lol 5600... ha well YOLO

It's nice. But that original handguard... worst system to keep it in place. No issues removing the six screws that hold it against the barrel nut; for for the life of me i couldn't screw them back it at all; the screws just didn't catch the threading... The barrel nut was straightforward to unscrew though, no issues with that part.

I'm glad the SLR Helix worked out 'cause I'm never putting that original awful one back!
