Just seeing what people are using for really zoomed in top maps. Having a hard time finding some really in depth useful tools/services. Hunting properties are about 2x2 km.
Thanks

I use 1:50,000 maps available from the MNR... most provinces have mapping services that will make you custom maps for the specific area that you are interested in.

Most of the library of Canadian Government maps is available to download, you can select and print what you need.

Between those, and the assorted electronic versions of same, Google Earth, and any of the Provincial sites with varying air photo layers to play with, as well as to old fashioned Air Photo Service, which may or may not exist there to sell you actual prints, you should be able to do OK on your own.

Iirc the hello pilots in the Military, had pretty much the whole country in 1:50k, they had some areas in 1:10k, but I am pretty sure they only ordered those in when needed. Nowadays, the base print shop would likely print them out on a large format printer, if the flight ops guys do not have their own. $$$$ printers!

I use Ontario Base Maps, OBM's. In my area they're 1:10,000, farther north, 1:20,000. Very good detailed maps. At one time you could order them from the MNR, but no longer. You'll have to resort to google to find a source.

Just keep in mind that even the newest of these OBM maps will be 20 or more years out of date by now. There will be new houses, roads, locations of transmission lines and wooded area boundaries that may have changed.
